Shenkeng Huang Family’s Yung An Chu 深坑黃氏永安居～台灣十大名宅

 Yung An Chu is at No. 1, Wanshenliao, Shenkeng Township, Taipei County. The residence was built in 1915, and is a historical site of the third rank. In the Chien Lung Period of the Ching Dynasty, Huang Shih-Sian led his families across the Strait to Taiwan, and settled down in Shenkeng. Through being industrious and thrifty, he bought some farming land and real estate.
Gradually, he became the wealthiest man in Shenkeng. His children built 7 residences here, including the founding house, Hung Lien-shan House, and Fu An Chu, Yung An Chu, Xing Shuen Chu, Ruen De Chu, and Liu Feng Chu. Yung An Chu is just one of them.
 San-He-Yuan (a three-section compound) is the pattern that Yung-An Chu adopted. The residence was built with sun-dried bricks and stone slates with one main building and two side buildings around a central courtyard. The stone materials were taken from the nearby hill which formed a solid foundation for the landscape, and the upper bricks, sometimes as thick as 30 cm, were made by a mud and straw mixture. A strong, heavy latch was on the front, a swallowtail ridge was on the roof, and horse-back defense walls were on two sides. At the entrance, stone slates were laid under the ground to prevent thieves from digging their way into the house. When entering the house, you will be overwhelmed by the elegant, eye-catching, and beautiful decorations, including wood carvings from China. The outer walls were designed with a beautiful tiled pattern, which were the products of reconstruction due to modern city plan. The new design added a modern element to the beauty of the old house.

深坑黃氏永安居，1915年建造完成，位於今台灣新北市深坑區北深路三段8號。中華民國政府於1992年5月22日認定它為三級古蹟，具有極大的價值與歷史保存意義。其命名的由來為「永久平安居住」的意思。根據中華民國政府文化部文化資產局的介紹，興建永安居所使用的木材是從中國大陸運過來的福杉，永安居是一個典型的泉州安溪三合院大厝，是台灣最美麗三合院之一。

乾隆年間，黃氏紫雲一族由福建泉州安溪來到台灣，到今深坑區定居。日治時期，黃氏子孫經商有成，先後在深坑建了七座古厝，也因此為深坑最重要的古蹟文化遺產。中華民國政府打算把七座古厝都認定為古蹟，但是由於另外六座古厝的黃氏子孫不願意將其古厝列為古蹟，所以政府將這六座古厝本身和週邊相關列為非古蹟的古建築保存區。

深坑黃氏永安居帶動週邊觀光產業，最著名而廣為人知的就是深坑臭豆腐。不過本來被吸引來看古蹟完順便吃臭豆腐的，反而現在臭豆腐比古蹟有名。週末假日也有許多外國觀光客前來欣賞古蹟。

深坑黃氏永安居入內參觀採收費方式，全票60元，學生票40元，所有的門票收入做為中華民國政府維護永安居的經費。
